These D. W. Frommer boots were constructed by Floyd aka "Wearinboots"
during a three week course he took in bootmaking at the D. W. Frommer
shop in Redmond, Oregon. The course started with taking measurements
of his foot and making the last used to form the boot. The course was an
in depth study of bootmaking. He chose this course because of the quality
of boots Frommer makes. He uses no nails or tacks in the process except
to attach the rubber heel pad on to the heels. The vast majority of the
boot is all hand sewn and wood pegged. The insole is all hand sewn.
Thanks to Wearinboots for these photos of his beautiful boots.
