Work Boots
	Work boots can be defined in a variety of ways. A broad definition includes any type of boot that a man wears when he does work, usually physical labor, in different settings. Since the boots listed below are covered elsewhere in this "basics for bootmen" series, we'll define work boots here as boots worn by men who work on construction sites, in the skilled trades, on the factory floor, and around the home. The boots should be able to withstand the elements on a construction site or in a factory, but also be stylish and comfortable.
WORK BOOT CHARACTERISTICS
	"Men look for durability in a work boot, comfort second. If it isn't comfortable, he figures he can just break it in." according to an article in Footwear News. Most modern workboots, though, are comfortable right out of the box. Different work boots have different features, and none are the same. But most work boots share one or more of these features: Height ranging from 5" to 10", with most being a mid-size (about 6") Colors of tan, brown, and black. Tan boots are common on construction sites Laces from toe to ankle. Typical tan work boots use tan laces. Soles are rubber, tread, or Vibram, usually 1/2" high with a heel no higher than 1". Abrasion-, slip-, oil- and fuel-resistant Goodyear welt construction for durability and water resistance Steel toes for safety Electrical shock resistance Padded ankle collar for comfort
