He is wearing his oldest pair of breeches which were
purchased by him in November 1944. His other
attire - jacket, boots, helmet, and gauntlet gloves -
are all from the 1959 period, like the bike.
Ward catalog and cost $3.49. They are a light cotton fabric
with buttoned polo pockets, button fly, and buttoned and
laced legs. He wears them occasionally in the summer, and
freely admits that he has had the waist let out to maximum!
